Modified from I. Cerda Thesis:
The visible light relay assembly is made of a 20”-long 2-conductor cable running between the Power Distribution Board’s 12 V and GND rails to a 5V relay board’s NO and COM pins set to low trigger (Tongling). The removal of a 5V digital input coming from the Labjack T7 during the transition from the 12 night-hours to the 12 day-hours completes the circuit and turns on a constant lux warm yellow LED strip to simulate natural sunlight conditions. The NO pin of the relay board and the positive lead of the 3.5”-long LED strip are connected via a female-male barrel jack junction.
